Time: 2.00 - 3.30pm.
Meetings: 4th Wednesday of the Month.
Venue: Swanland Village Hall
• We meet every 4th Wednesday at 2.00pm, No experience needed
• Everyone welcome; refreshments at half time
• All voices, no pressure, no competition with excellent pianist
• Singing well known musicals, old time, war time and popular songs
I hope that all those who have previously come to sing with us on the fourth Wednesday of each month, have not forgotten how enjoyable and re-laxing it is to sing along, with Ruth at the piano, all the old popular songs, from the wartime, well-known musicals and others, bringing back memo-ries of by-gone years. It is a wonderful way of 'letting yourself go', and to leave light-hearted after an enjoyable afternoon with friends. Refreshments in the half-way interval too!
We hope the memory of those times has also helped you through this awful 'lockdown' and that you will come back again - when all is calm once more - and join us.
As you will realise, it is still not safe to sing - with-out masks and maintaining the required distances, but as soon as we have the 'all clear' we hope to reopen. Chris Page (Booking Secretary) has kindly promised to reserve our Wednesday afternoon slot for us. Keep well and safe.
Lockdown Easing May 2021
The ‘Singing for Fun’ Group must wait for permission from official Guide lines, with the obvious problem and inconvenience of wearing masks and distancing. The convenor, has explained to Chris Page and she has agreed to keep our Wednesday afternoon booking for us, even if we are not starting for quite a while.
Otherwise, the pianist, Ruth Hawden and Delphine are keen to start as soon as possible and Delphine will let everyone know as soon as they are able.
