I used to be a primary school teacher and head teacher. I also taught French to children and adults.
When I retired I decided to learn Italian, having spent many holidays in the south of France, near the border with Italy and often travelling into Italy where I didn’t understand the language.
I attended a night class, did a short residential language course in Italy and joined the u3a Italian group, which I love.

Our morning sessions will continue to be a mix of conversation in Italian, some points of grammar, both revision and new topics, listening to recordings of texts and/or songs in Italian and we shall be reading a short Italian novel.
We usually have a good time and enjoy a meal out on occasion.

Our group is well attended and is full at the moment, but visitors are welcome. We have put a limit of ten members, which we feel is a comfortable number to accommodate in our homes.
