New Music Group
Music is a journey best shared. Since my teens, I’ve explored various musical avenues, and I’m convinced that forming a u3a group would be a fantastic way for us to learn from one another while enjoying the spirit of collaboration.

My Proposal: I would like to invite all interested musicians to get in touch. Whether you are a seasoned player or returning to an instrument after a hiatus, we want to hear from you!
Please let us know:
· What you play
· Your current experience level
· The genres that inspire you
By gathering this information, we hope to create several ensembles that cater to diverse tastes and talents.
A Note on Logistics: To ensure our rehearsals are as productive as possible, we’ll be looking for a suitable local venue with good acoustics. I would be delighted to host a preliminary "coffee and planning" session at my home to get the ball rolling!

The Accord
Several years ago the u3as of Beverley, Caves, Cottingham, Hessle and Swanland formed the Accord network in order to share information, experience and ideas for their mutual benefit. Subsequently AWAKE (Anlaby, Willerby & Kirk Ella), Howden and District, Hornsea and District, Driffield & Wolds, Pocklington, and Holderness have been welcomed into the group. Meetings are held at approximately 3 monthly intervals and are attended by 2 Committee members from each u3a.

I have very quickly recognised the interest groups are the beating heart of Swanland u3a, and that's entirely down to you. The time, care and quiet organisation you put in - often behind the scenes - is what makes the whole thing work so well. It really is appreciated, even if it isn't always said out loud.
