Day Trips

Swanland u3a Day Trips are a fun and relaxed way to get out and about with fellow members. We may visit a wide range of interesting places — from pretty Market towns and Historic landmarks to Museums, gardens and Stately Homes. It’s a great opportunity to explore somewhere new, enjoy good company, and make the most of the day without having to worry about travel arrangements. All you need to do is come along and enjoy the trip!

If you’ve got a great idea for a day trip, we’d love to hear it! To help make it happen, we just ask that you’re happy to lend a hand with a bit of the organising—like looking into travel, timings, or helping out on the day. There’s always support, and a little help keeps things running smoothly for everyone.

TRIP A | BOMBER COMMAND, LINCOLN — THURSDAY 10^th JULY 2025

Pick-up time: 9.00am at Swanland Pond (Acklams coach). Departure from Lincoln approx 3.00pm, return about 4.30pm.

A short guided tour has been arranged, followed by free time to explore the main Exhibition Hall, outdoor memorials and ceramic poppies display.

TRIP B | WENTWORTH WOODHOUSE — THURSDAY 07^th AUGUST

Prices:
• £25.00 (Historic Houses members)
• £38.00 (National Trust members)
• £42.00 (non-members)

TRIP C | HORNSEA INSHORE RESCUE — MONDAY 1^st SEPTEMBER

Members should use their own transport; car shares can be arranged. Please state at booking whether you require or can offer transport.

Cost: £20.00 including a tour and fish & chips from Whiteheads of Hornsea.
