• Not experts but enthusiastic and willing to learn more about wines

Our Wine Group is flourishing! We don't have a tutor or expert-leader - rather we take turns to host and present a selection of wines to taste and discuss. The emphasis is on enjoyment and the desire to learn more about this fascinating subject. I am sure members will agree that we have all certainly expanded our knowledge, as well as the range of wines being tasted and savoured. We have tried different grape varieties (many hitherto unheard of!) and from a wide range of wine regions. We also organise an annual private tasting at 'Townend's Cellar Door' in Melton and have also visited local vineyards
